The Story

Over the space of one fast-paced year we were lucky enough to have worked on a total of 36 shows for streaming service giant Prime Video. Highlights included heading to Lagos to host SA  media at the launch of Gangs of Lagos – Prime Videos’ first African local original in the land of Jollof, where they rubbed shoulders with the film’s cast and Nigeria’s finest. The launch of Last One Laughing South Africa, a show hosted by none other than comedian and prodigal son Trevor Noah together with a cast of ten of South Africa’s funniest entertainers, was also a night to remember. From helping to organise gigantic (and glamourous) premiere events, to working on Prime Video’s international releases, as well as creating magical pieces of merchandise and media drops until we literally starting dreaming about it, the high-energy, glitzy world of working with a streaming service is an experience that we are not likely to forget!

The Story

Back in 2016 we started our Garden Day journey alongside Project Director Clarisse Coetzee. This annual invitation for people to celebrate their gardens and green spaces has grown phenomenally since then, becoming a veritable movement. Each year, during a six-week campaign, we increase its popularity and reach by partnering with a range of well-known personalities, as well as communities, schools, garden centres, botanical and community gardens, brands and other entities. During the pandemic we were also able to dig in deep to work across the pond (from home!) on Garden Day UK, where gardening is a pastime for over half the population, and contributes significantly to the national economy.

The Story

We have been working with the wonderful internal team on this annual event since 2017. Making the largest contemporary art fair on the African continent a success all comes down to teamwork and, thanks to our incredible partnerships, we registered a record number of visitors and media in February 2024. It’s been a joy to collaborate with such talent, and to contribute to creating an engaging, interactive platform for international artists, galleries and art correspondents.

The Story

We were tasked with developing a campaign that created awareness around the goodness of Irish butter, tying this message in with World Milk Day. So we conceived and implemented a first, The Ultimate Butter Master, an annual six-week campaign where we enlisted the help of 16 South African foodies to drive social media engagement. These much-loved personalities challenged the public to take to Instagram and upload a traditional South African recipe, with a unique Kerrygold twist. We also initiated a collaborative partnership between Kerrygold and the Expresso Show, and Woolworths’ TASTE magazine, creating even greater reach. The response was incredible, and when we were asked to expand the campaign in 2022, we added more content creators, more categories and more prizes.

The Story

This story began when Lisa, a Veritas client, approached the company with some ideas to assist with communicating to other Veritas clients, and the rest, as they say, was history! And so began a ten year journey that included newsletter writing, media coverage, a podcasts, LinkedIn and other paid-for opportunities. During lockdown we navigated alternative platforms like webinars, a move that allowed Veritas to maintain regular contact with clients and address the many financial concerns that were being fuelled by the global health crisis.
